What day is this going to be on and how does this work?

Hi everyone, I am so sorry for the delay on this class and my lack of communication!

This is the second or third time I've had to move this class due to the difficulty in writing the syllabus - there's no existing textbook to work off of.

I don't want to present a class 12 days into a month, so let's try again in November. Thanks for your patience!

If you can get ahold of Alexandra Stoddard's "Gift of a Letter" book, we'll be talking about it in class next month!

I have two pen pals, one to whom I text nearly every day, and the other I met through a service called the letter exchange 25+ years ago. We write "real" letters nearly weekly.

I'm not sure how this course is supposed to work, or where I should start. Any suggestions?

Are they pen-pals from way back or are you and others choosing to write letters in place of emails, etc?

I don't think I have written or received a true letter since the early 2000s. I used to keep boxes of old letters (not cards) until a fire destroyed them.

Hi all!
I currently have about a dozen penpals (mostly in the UK, but a few in the USA and Canada too), and am looking forward to this course. :)
