History 103: History of the White House

History 103: History of the White House

We'll explore the history of the White House in this non-political class. We'll look at the structure and layout, decor and furnishings over the years, and explore the kitchens, West Wing and Oval Office.

We'll also learn a bit about the First Ladies who have lived here; take a peek at the lives of the staff; and explore the challenges faced by the Secret Service in protecting the building and its occupants.
