Oyster stuffing??

As a vegetarian I've never had this, and I grew up on the West Coast (Southern California and the Pacific Northwest) so I'm confused about it. It apparently is an East Coast tradition?

Oh yes, my grandmother used to make this regularly. My mom sort of lost the tradition. I haven't had oyster stuffing in years other than at East Coast restaurants.

No, I don't eat shellfish, but it doesn't sound very appetizing.
