Introducing our new Home Economics class for June 2020 – Home Economics 113: Instant Pot Cookery.
Now that we’re all staying home and cooking more often due to quarantining, I thought this might be the perfect time to really learn how to use our Instant Pots. I bought mine last year and have only used it a handful of times. I’ve been intimidated to use it, and unsure when to use it instead of my rice cooker and slow cooker. (I’ve wondered if I need to own all three types of pots at this point).
We’ll learn about the Instant Pot and its history and impact; explore its functions; take a look at some recipes and try them out; and take turns sharing our experiments with other students in the class.
